Lesson's Learned...a Challenge

This is the November sketch challenge by My Mind's Eye.

I started on this journey....layout as I do any other as a fun adventure and I found out once again...that it was so much more than that.

I saw the post for this challenge and it made me start thinking about the important life lessons I have learned...what were the ones that really changed me. How did I learn them and who was with me when I did. Was it positive or was it a negative experience....so as you can image I went through a WIDE range of emotions.

But all the important lesson.....went back to my dear beloved and greatly missed Grandma. I was raised by her and most of the time here on my blog you here about the inspiration she was to me in my creative life....I normally do not share a lot of personal feeling and experience's here on my blog.....but here I am AND I am glad to be here.

Once of the greatest gifts my grandma gave me was life lessons and her love of quotes. I have my facebook where I share my favorites and grandma had a journal that sat in the desk drawer with bits and pieces of literary inspiration. { there was even one of my poems in there ; ) }
So it was obvious after the wave of flashback lessons came to me the best lesson I learned from my grandmother should be shared in the form of a quote:

"Every great dream begins with a dreamer.
Always remember you have within you the strengh,
the patience and the passion to change the world."
- Harriet Tubman

I have lived my life trying to extend kindness to help others in service and friendship.
In my job choices, in the lessons that I have passed to my own children and now to my dear grandson, Drew.

..........thank you My Mind's Eye.......I need to be reminded of ALL the wonderful lessons that have shaped me into the person I have become.........I know grandma would be proud.

Here is my take on this wonderful challenge.

DREAMS

For my layout I used My Mind's Eye Lost and Found and a bit of Holly Jolly.

For the flower and the lace border I used My Mind's Eye paper and Spellbinder's Paper Arts:
Classic Lace Grand Border and Blossom Two. To adhere the layout I used Glue Dots adhesive.

Before I go today I shared a Glue Dot Project on facebook and it featured My Mind's Eye paper and Spellbinder's Paper Arts products also. I was thrilled when Creating Keepsakes Magazine, Glue Dots AND Spellbinder's Paper Arts ALL taged it to thier facebook wall. What a thrilling day that was....Thanks to you all......and here is the

My Winter Celebration Party that I created:

Until next time....have a creative day.
