Easy How to Card for a Tuesday Morning

I don’t know about you but I am  beginning to feel overwhelmed by the holiday approaching. SO much to do.

So I thought what would be better today than to make an easy card that everyone is sure to love.

To make this card you will need to start by pouring yourself a cup of coffee, sit down take a nice sip and then…… cutting  piece of cardstock 4 1/2 inches by 9 inches and score it in the middle making a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch card.

Next place the Spellbinders™ #6 Classic Scalloped Square Large on the folded square over lapping just slightly over the folded edge.

Emboss.

Using the Spellbinders™#5 Classic Scalloped Square Large cut a scalloped square out of red and using #4 cut one out of off white cardstock. Emboss both.

Ink the edges of the scalloped squares and the card. I love my Chestnut Roan ColorBox ink by Clearsnap

Using Beacon Zip Dry apply the red scalloped to center of card. I like the Zip dry because if I do not get it exactly in the center I have a little play time and it dries to a permanent hold.

Next wrap ribbon around the center of card adhering with Beacon Zip Dry. Repeating with a ribbon that is not as wide.

Cut another #6 Classic Scalloped Square Large out of cardstock and apply over ribbon edges on back for a finished look.

Apply holiday sticker of your choice to center of last scalloped square and attach to front center of card.

You are now done and you still have coffee in your cup and best of all it is still warm.

These are easy enough for the kids to help with and to give to their teachers….

Well I am off to finish my cup of coffee ….until next time create something!
