What a hoot Gift tag

To make this adorable owl tag you will need to start with.

Spellbinders™ Wizard™ and the S4-271 Nested Owl die templates.

S4-271-NESTED-OWL

and

S4-072 Flower Creations and

S4-249 Big Scalloped Circles LG

and a piece of off white, brown, black and white cardstock.

003

I started by folding a piece of 4 x 8″ off white cardstock in half. I taped the die template so that the folded edge of the paper is inside of the cutting edge of the die template, as shown in the photo. Cut/emboss in the Spellbinders™ Wizard™ to create a shaped card. I then inked my edges with Clearsnap Chestnut Roan Fluid chalk ink.

Next I cut out two owls, one out of off white cardstock and one out of the brown.

067

Ink the edges of the off white owl with Clearsnap Chestnut Roan Fluid chalk.

Fold the brown in half and mark as shown. Cut out the pieces as shown and ink edges with Clearsnap Chestnut Roan Fluid chalk ink.

071

Fold the brown in half and mark as shown. Using scissors, hand cut the pieces as shown and ink edges with Clearsnap Chestnut Roan Fluid chalk ink.

072

Adhere brown cut out pieces as shown.

073

Next cut out two S4-249 Big Scalloped Circles LG #1 (#1 is the smallest) out of white and one out of brown. Ink the edges.

078

With the S4-072 Flower Creations One, cut one flower from off white cardstock (as shown above) and two large centers out of black cardstock (as shown below).

075

Adhere the black flower center to middle of the white S4-249 Big Scalloped Circles LG.081

079

Cut the brown in half and adhere to “eyes” as shown. Mark the wrong side of flower as shown and cut. Ink edges of petal that is now the owl’s nose.

084

Using SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVE by 3L 3D Foam Squares, adhere eyes to face and with another 3D Foam Square add

nose to face, placing just under eyes as shown.

086

Adhere the owl to card.

Come back next week to see this fun t-shirt and two more projects using these

S4-271 Nested Owls.

015

Thanks for stopping by and until next time….create something!

This is the Nested Owl Die Template
