The Future is Yours * Karen Taylor

GOOD MORNING everyone. Karen Taylor here today to wish you a very happy Tuesday. It is hard to believe May has come and gone and here we are in June. By now most of our graduates, high school and college have put on their caps and gowns and walked that long aisle in celebration of the many days and countless hours of studying that it took them to get to that that commencement ceremony.
Graduation! What a great event to celebrate with a paper craft project. Today I have created a layout  in honor of my nephew and his accomplishments. The title is THE FUTURE IS YOURS.

For my layout I used layers of Donna Salazar Designs: Antiquities Collection by GCD Studios. It has a beautiful neutral color scheme and works perfect for either sex but for a guy…it is great.
Here is a view of the entire layout. The die cut strips of Donna’s papers and the ones I tore I attached by sewing, staples and strips of glue.  I even added strips of glue in random places along the layouts sides and sprinkled some Clearsnap Fairy Dust Glitter by Donna Salazar Designs to add a special element.
June DS LO FUll Framed View.
The chipboard letters I used Clearsnap Fluid Chalk Ink to match the layout and added some of the awesome Clearsnap Smooch Spritz by Donna Salazar Designs to give them some glimmer! The fabulous quote  I adhered with Clearsnap Glue Gloss and is from Donna’s Crafty Chronicle. I LOVE the Crafty Chronicle. First it is just fun to read and use on paper projects….but as a quote collector I LOVE the quotes on the tops and bottoms of each pages!! I have a hard time deciding what side to use! (TIP: Buy more that one!)
To make the middle 2011 stand out I created a mask using some number stickers and sprayed with Clearsnap Smooch Spritz by Donna Salazar’s Designs once it dried I removed the stickers.

To make this special project I used:
My nephew Eric is going to love this layout! What a great way to remember his special day!
I had such a fantastic time making this layout and using all the fun products. It is fun to think outside of the box and come up with new and fun ways to create.
Visit me at Creative Yearnings and until next time….BE CREATIVE!
