Simply Sunday Altered Jar

simply sunday Button150

Good Sunday morning to EVERYONE. I hope everyone is have a fantastic day and are enjoying this weekend. We are at my house....still waiting on a phone call that our new granddaughter is ready to make her appearance.

Today I am sharing a fun and SIMPLE altered project.

MY GIFT JAR:
ss 5 22 my minds eye gift jar cu
I have not idea who will receive it yet....so many people I have to thank for the blessing they have given me in my life so.....who knows. I forget at times just how many blessings there are in my life and only think of the "problems" and I can tell you my problems are small compare to so many people in this world......So on this Sunday let us all remember to be thankful for our blessings.

This jar was a spaghetti sauce jar.
I spray painted the lid. Wrapped it with white and black cardstock then topped the cardstock with a piece of My Mind's Eye paper that I tore the top.
I embellished it with a torn fabric rose and a couple of leaves. The stamp is a dollar spot from Michael's stamp. To finish the project I used a piece of the torn fabric to tie around the top of the jar....SO QUICK...SO CUTE.... AND SO SIMPLE!

Please take a little time to visit Heidi and Terre's blogs and see what they have created for Simply Sunday

What an adorable altered jar, Karen! I so love recycled projects. I think they are unique and creative, and help save resources at the same time. Love that you spray painted the lid red, and LOVE that fabric flower. Great color combo, too. :)
